Local Food Fund Support

At Tulip Tree Gardens, we believe in the power of community and the importance of nourishing families with fresh, nutrient-dense food. As we approach November 1st, many households will face additional hardship due to the upcoming cuts to SNAP benefits—a vital resource for food security across our region. Combined with the recent federal defunding of the LFPA grant, these changes threaten both the well-being of vulnerable families and the stability of our local farming economy. In response, we are launching a renewed effort to ensure access to healthy food while sustaining the livelihoods of our farmers.

Introducing the Local Food Fund by Tulip Tree Gardens: a dedicated program designed to bridge the gap in food funding for our most vulnerable communities. With your generous contributions, we will support local farmers by purchasing their fresh produce, ensuring that they receive fair compensation for their hard work and dedication. Your donation directly impacts our ability to provide high-quality, locally sourced food to families in need, fostering a cycle of support within our community. We have partnerships with Top Box Foods, Meals on Wheels, Provisions Lab of Monee, IL, Northern Illinois Food Bank, Crete Township Food Pantry, and a growing list of many more!  Just this week we have had over a dozen local food banks and pantries reach out our list is growing daily on pantries to support!
